For Those With a Passion for Greatness

The pursuit for greatness is a very defining characteristic of my generation. Whether greatness is owning your own business, becoming famous, generating vast sums of wealth, coming up with medical advancements, creating social networking platforms, having 10,000+ followers on twitter, however one defines it, we are pursuing it. One thing that I have come to understand is that all great people become so because of great sacrifice. Their greatness stems from how many other people they make great in the process. If you want to be a great person you must authentically pour into the lives of other people. The abscence of this factor will never translate into greatness no matter how influential, cool, or charismatic someone is. The principle behind this thought is the Law of Reproduction (21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership, John C. Maxwell). We must reproduce what we are in other people and this takes the giving of ones self and laying it down for their good.
